Your Moon sign is the zodiac region occupied by the Moon as seen from Earth when you were born. In astrology it is associated with emotional needs, habits and instinctive reactions. Because the Moon moves quickly, the correct time and UTC offset matter near sign changes.
The calculator maps the Moon’s geocentric ecliptic-of-date longitude to one of twelve zodiac sectors. Exact times are checked across ±2 minutes, approximate times across ±15 minutes, and unknown times across the full local date. It gives no single sign when that range crosses a boundary.
Enter the date as recorded in the local calendar at your birthplace. If the tool asks for a time and city, select where you were born rather than where you live now. Where time-confidence options are offered, mark an approximate or unknown time honestly. Do not invent a time if the Sun tool requests it on a boundary day. A random time does not make the answer more reliable.
Moon in Cancer describes the Moon's zodiac position at birth. While reading about safety and closeness, you could ask, 'What surroundings help me rest?' This placement does not measure your emotional state or provide a psychological diagnosis. A Moon sign different from your Sun sign is not an error; the tool calculates a different celestial body.
The Moon can change signs within a local day. With an unknown time, the tool checks possible times across that day; one stable sign and two possible signs are different outcomes. An approximate time should not be read as exact. If another site differs, first compare the date, time confidence and historical time zone used.
